A well-matched and delicious fruity blend of sea buckthorn berries and acerola cherries, fine-tuned with agave syrup and cherry pulp. Pleasantly acidic with a mild flavour.
The gentle whole fruit grinding process used for sea buckthorn berries was actually developed over 60 years ago.
All parts of the fruit suitable for consumption are carefully blended together, such as peel, flesh, juice and seeds:
- natural fruit fibre (cellulose, pectin) is retained, as well as valuable unsaturated fatty acids of the seed oils, the high vitamin C content and minerals
- extremely important: the bioactive phytochemicals (e.g. flavonoids) whose health benefits have only recently been “discovered”
The gentle whole-fruit process for sea buckthorn berries was developed back in the 1950s. All parts of the fruit that are suitable for consumption - i.e. peel, pulp, juice and seeds - are ground to preserve the fruit's important fiber and plant substances. High quality is also taken into account when selecting the raw materials.
In addition to the high vitamin C content, sea buckthorn berries contain vitamin B2, B12, E, flavonoids and polyunsaturated fatty acids. This whole fruit speciality is therefore particularly popular in the cold seasons.
